Alliance Française de Bridgetown

Established in Barbados for over 30 years, the Alliance française of Barbados and now Alliance française de Bridgetown is a Barbadian non profit organization devoted to the promotion of French language and Francophone cultures.

Network

Among the 10 other Alliances of the English speaking Caribbean, The Alliance Francaise de Bridgetown is a member of the international network of Alliance françaises. It was founded in 1883 in Paris by a group of eminent thinkers, including the scientist Louis Pasteur, the diplomat Ferdinand de Lesseps, the writers Jules Verne and Ernest Renan, and the publisher Armand Colin., The Alliance Française is the largest network of French language and cultural centers in the world.
